The course is aimed at learners who may encounter vulnerable adults in their work. The course covers understand what safeguarding is, how to work with carers, families and advocates, Types of abuse, those at great risk of abuse, indicators of abuse, confidentiality, disclosure and consent and how to raise a safeguarding concern.
The course is aimed at learners who are either working, or wishing to work, with children and young people. This includes those in voluntary or unpaid roles. The qualification covers how to safeguard and protect children, young people and practitioners in the workplace.
Everyone has a duty to safeguard others.
