Rebecca Thompson BA(Hons), PGCE, MA (Education)
Rebecca is currently a director at Thompson Team. She also works as an Ofsted inspector and volunteers as a governor in a large 3-16 special school which caters for the needs of pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. She is a former headteacher with an extensive 23-year career in education across both primary and secondary phases of education. Rebecca started her career as an English teacher and quickly took on leadership responsibilities for staff development alongside leading on areas such as curriculum, school performance data and timetabling. She has developed and delivered CPD sessions and advised young people, colleagues and stakeholders on many topics including the quality of education, attendance, safeguarding, behaviour management, mental health, quality assurance processes, de-escalation, timetabling and budget management. She is passionate about lifelong learning. Rebecca believes strongly in a team approach and that developing, supporting and inspiring colleagues is essential to the success of any organisation.
Melanie Clarke BSc(Hons), PGCert (Education)
Melanie has worked in education for 23 years with 13 years experience in leadership and management, specialising in inclusion, in particular safeguarding, mental health, wellbeing and behaviour. Melanie has led training on all aspects of inclusion and has worked closely with agencies to support young people and professionals. She has a strong track record of developing others through coaching and mentoring and forming strong relationships with others.
Melanie is committed to keeping up to date with current research and the latest developments to ensure ongoing professional development. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with others to help support organisations and professionals.
Mark Thompson MSc(Eng), CEng, MIMechE, MIET (Engineering)
Mark is an experienced Training and Competence Assessor Practitioner and Manager. Providing Training, Competence Assessment, Internal Verification (IQA) and End Point Assessment (EPA) for Apprenticeships. Mark has designed and developed Customers' Competence Management Systems (CMS) which he currently manages for our Customers. Mark supports our Customers with training in Railway Systems Engineering, Rolling Stock Systems and Rail Vehicle Maintenance. Mark is a Lead Assessor/Auditor of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
